Elly De La Cruz has 18 home runs on the season but doesn’t have one since June 23. We think that streak ends tonight as the Reds host the Rockies in Cincinnati as Colorado sends German Marquez to the mound.

Marquez has had his struggles against left-handed bats this season allowing lefties to bat .312 to go along with a .507 slugging percentage with De La Cruz batting .299 and slugging .533 against right handed pitching this season.

He and Marquez have never squared off before but the Colorado starter has allowed four home runs combined across his last three starts and De La Cruz going 6-13 during the first series between these two although he didn’t have a home run.

De La Cruz has had at least three home runs in each full month this season so let’s take him to hit his first home run in July at +280 with other Reds batters to consider include TJ Friedl (+500) who is 2-3 with two home runs off Marquez and Will Benson (+300). 

MLB HR Props Best Bet of the Day #2: George Springer (TOR) +360

Luis Severino has allowed five home runs combined across his last three starts as he and the Athletics host the Blue Jays in Sacramento for the start of a three-game series.

We’re going to select outfielder George Springer to hit his 17th home run of the season tonight who is batting .412 and slugging .882 in July so far.

The first time these two met for a four-game series in Toronto, the Blue Jays averaged 10 runs per game with Springer going 6-16 including three home runs.

Springer has excelled more against right handed pitching this season batting .301 with a .532 slugging percentage compared to a .219 average and .438 slugging percentage against lefties.

Severino not only has struggles as of late but he struggles at home mightily this season sporting a 7.04 ERA and allowing eight of his 12 home runs in Sacramento compared to a 3.04 ERA and four home runs allowed on the road.

Take Springer to hit a home run at +360 odds with other Toronto hitters to consider for a home run include Addison Barger (+340) and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (+350).
