MLB Player Props Today for Friday: Jackson Chourio, Brewers Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-145)

Jackson Chourio is riding a 17-game hitting streak and he’s logged 2+ HRR in 14 of those games while hitting .347 with a .904 OPS in the month of July.

That includes a game on July 5th against today’s opposing starting pitcher Cal Quantrill where Chourio went 3-4 with a double and two runs scored (5 HRR).

Quantrill has struggled this season with a 5.24 ERA, and he’s been even worse on the road with a 6.20 ERA.

The Marlins starter has struggled against right-handed bats with a ridiculous 7.27 ERA and .351 OBA. Chourio matches up well against Quantrill’s pitch mix with .263 batting average against four-seam fastballs and a .500 batting average against splitters.

The Brewers have won 12 of their last 13 games and their lineup is on fire with an average of 6 runs per game during their last 9 games.

Chourio will have plenty of opportunities to load up on all three categories and clear this HRR line again.

MLB Player Props Today for Friday: Addison Barger, Blue Jays OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-135)

It’s been a breakout season for Addison Barger, and he’s been on fire with 2+ HRR in 6 of his last 8 games where he’s posted a batting average above .400 and a slugging percentage above .600.

Barger has great advanced metrics as well with a .366 xwOBA (84th percentile), .284 xBA (84th) and .532 xSLG (88th).

He hasn’t faced Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Keider Montero, but Montero relies heavily on a slider & sinker and Barger hits .316 against sliders and .424 against sinkers.

Barger has absolutely crushed right-handed pitching with a .289 batting average and .555 slugging percentage to go along with 13 home runs.

The 25-year-old slugger has performed better on the road where he’s covered this line in 65% of his games compared to only 48% of his home games.

Montero has logged a 5.40 in the month of July and he just got roughed up by a weaker hitting Rangers lineup. The Blue Jays lineup is on fire and Barger has every possible edge tonight in Detroit.
