Expert WNBA Props for Wednesday: Aliyah Boston, Fever OVER 11.5 Rebounds + Assists (-120)
Aliyah Boston has only covered this line in 14/28 games (50%) on the season, but she has been much better at home where she cleared this line in 9/15 games (60%).
Now Boston gets a great matchup against the Phoenix Mercury who have allowed the 2nd most rebounds and 3rd most assists during their last five games.
The Mercury a great at limiting assists at the rim but the majority of Boston’s dimes come from at-the-break threes where Phoenix has allowed the 2nd most assists in July.
Boston gets the majority of her rebounds at the rim where the Phoenix allows the 5th highest conversion rate.
Recently we have seen opposing bigs have plenty of success in these categories as Kiki Iriafen logged 10 RA in only 23 minutes, Shakira Austin (9), Jonquel Jones (12), Breanna Stewart (13), and Brionna Jones (10).
The Fever are -4-point underdogs so Boston should play close to her season average of 29+ minutes and when she’s logged that time, she’s recorded 13+ RA in 6 of her last 8 games.
These teams also rank 3rd and 6th in pace of play and that’s reflected in the total being set at 166. Indiana is obviously a step slower without Caitlin Clark, but Boston also has the benefit of less competition for potential assists.
Expert WNBA Props for Wednesday: Alyssa Thomas, Mercury OVER 16.5 Rebounds + Assists (-114)
Alyssa Thomas has recorded 19 RA in three straight games as she’s clearly the “straw that stirs the drink” in Phoenix.
Thomas has covered this line in 7 of her last 8 games with Kahleah Cooper & Satou Sabally on the court while averaging 19.3 RA per game.
Caitlin Clark remains out in Indiana and that weakens the Fever on both sides of the court, but Phoenix is still only favored by -4 so we should see a competitive game leading to full minutes and Thomas basically closes out the game regardless of outcome.
Thomas hasn’t faced the Fever yet during the 2025 campaign, but she’s done well historically with 17+ RA in 8 of her last 10 head-to-meetings.
The 33-year-old veteran has also thrived on the road where she’s cleared this line in 73% of her games compared to only 40% of her games at home.
We cashed in on this play in Thomas’s last game against Washington where she logged 19 RA (11 Reb/8 Asst) across 33 minutes and I’ll gladly keep riding this train.
