There really isn’t much more to say about Skenes than you already know about him. He’s now a perfect 24-0 in not allowing a first inning run to opponents this season going against a Milwaukee team that hasn’t scored in the first inning in 87% of their home games.

Freddy Peralta starts for the Brewers quietly not allowing a first inning run in 20 of his 24 starts on the season with the Pirates failing to score in the first inning in four straight games.

Peralta posts a 2.13 ERA in home starts this season with Pittsburgh ranking bottom five in slugging percentage since the all-star break.

It’s very juicy odds but play on a Pirates vs Brewers NRFI to occur today at -190 odds with first pitch at 7:40PM ET.

NRFI Best Bet Today #2: Tampa Bay Rays vs Athletics (+110)

From an odds standpoint our first NRFI play may not be appealing to you so how about a plus-money NRFI play for tonight?

The Rays and Athletics go head-to-head in Sacramento tonight with righty Shane Baz taking the mound for the Rays.

He hasn’t allowed a first inning run in 20 of 23 starts this season while posting a 3.34 road ERA compared to a 6.54 home ERA.

Opposing Athletics batters have collectively hit just .184 against Baz all time with Jacob Lopez getting the start for the Athletics.

The lefty hasn’t allowed a first inning run in 12 of 14 starts this season including five straight with Tampa Bay failing to score in the first inning in 78% of road games in 2025.

The Rays are bottom five in team batting average since the all-star break and rank bottom ten in batting average against lefties. Play on a Rays vs Athletics NRFI with first pitch at 10:05PM ET and odds listed at +110.
