Week 5 of the 2025 NFL season kicks off with a primetime 49ers vs Rams NFC West showdown on Thursday Night Football. Sportmemo’s Steve Seagrave is eyeing the top player props for Week 5, with star names like Brian Robinson Jr. and Joshua Karty featured in the spotlight.

NFL Thursday Night Football Props Prediction: Brian Robinson Jr., 49ers OVER 15.5 Rushing Yards (-130)

Brian Robinson has run for 20+ yards in each of the first four games of the 2025 campaign while averaging 24 yards on 5.5 carries per game.

Christian McCaffrey is still the San Francisco 49ers workhorse as he’s ranked 5th in rushing attempts (69) but he has the 3rd lowest yards per carry amongst starting running backs with only one explosive run.

Robinson has outperformed McCaffrey in YPC, yards before contact and stuff%. Now we are dealing with a short week where starting backs notoriously see smaller snap counts.

Brock Purdy is still dealing with a toe injury, and the 49ers are banged up in general, so their best hope is to ride the running game and chew up some clock in the process.

We could see an increased snap share for Robinson on Thursday Night Football and all we just him to keep doing what he’s been doing.

NFL Thursday Night Football Props Prediction: Joshua Karty, Rams OVER 1.5 Field Goals (-140)

Los Angeles Rams kicker Joshua Karty has hit 2+ field goals in each of his last three games and 9 of his last 10 games.

Karty also eclipsed this line in both of his head-to-head games against the San Francisco 49ers last season with 4 and 2 made field goals.

Now Karty is facing a 49ers team that’s been decimated by injuries, and the Rams are favored by -7 with a team total of 26.5.

The San Francisco defense has overcome injuries and managed to have an elite red area defense that has allowed the 10th lowest red zone touchdown percentage in the NFL.

We have seen 3/4 opposing kickers clear this line against the 49ers as Cam Little, Chad Ryland and Jason Myers all hit two field goals.

New Orleans kicker Blake Grupe was the only kicker who fell short of this line against the 49ers and Saints went for multiple 4th downs in that contest.

We should plenty of red zone opportunities for Karty to beat this line while playing indoors in a divisional game.
