Expert NBA Player Props for Monday: Zach LaVine Sacramento Kings OVER 21.5 Points (-104)

Zach LaVine has been inconsistent in scoring this season but he’s coming off a season high 42 points while shooting 12-24 from the field and 10-11 from the charity stripe across 39 minutes of play.

LaVine also has a strong track record against the Indiana Pacers as he’s scored 23+ in 3 of his last 4 games while landing on 20 points in his last game.

The Pacers rank 21st in defending the pick-&-roll & 27th in defending shots within 10 feet and that accounts for 41% of LaVine’s scoring.

Indiana also ranks just outside the bottom 10 in defensive efficiency and LaVine has scored 21+ in 7 of his last 10 games against bottom 10 defenses.

We have seen elite scorers torch the Pacers in recent games including Jamal Murray (52), Donovan Mitchell (43 & 32) and Brandon Ingram (26).

Domantas Sabonis is still on the shelf and Dennis Schroder & Keegan Murray are both listed as questionable.

LaVine will be the primary scorer in game with a spread of -4.5 and a total 234.5 so we should avoid a blowout in a high scoring game.

Expert NBA Player Props for Monday: Royce O’Neale Phoenix Suns UNDER 9.5 Points (-110)

Royce O’Neale has fallen short of this line in 8 of his last 13 games against teams that rank above average in above-the-break defense while averaging only 9.5 points per game.

Now O’Neale is facing a brutal matchup against a Minnesota Timberwolves defense that ranks #1 in spot up defense and 4th in above-the-break defense.

O’Neale scores 67% of his points on ATB shots and 57% of his points on spot up shots. We have seen 4 of the last 6 similar guards fall short of this line including a pure shooter like Klay Thompson.

Devin Booker has already been ruled out but O’Neale actually takes fewer shots per 36 minutes when he’s off the court.

O’Neale did score 16 points against the Timberwolves in late November but Booker played 35 minutes in that game so O’Neale will get more defensive attention tonight.

The Suns are -8.5-point underdogs, and the total is set low at 223.5 so we could see a blowout in what projects as a low scoring contest.
