Three of Adrian Houser’s six home runs given up on the season have come in his last five starts as we’ll look for him to give up another one at home to Eugenio Suarez of the Mariners tonight.

Suarez has a hit in six of his last seven games and is slugging .644 over his last 15 days. Only one of Houser’s six home runs have been given up to right handed hitters, but Suarez has done well specifically against Houser in his career going 7-22 with two home runs all-time.

Houser’s ERA sits at just 2.85 on the season but in five August starts he had a 4.85 ERA so perhaps we’re starting to see some chinks in the armor for Houser.

On the season Suarez is batting .264 and slugging .575 against righties compared to just a .163 average and .450 slugging percentage against lefties.

Christian Yelich is having one of his best season’s since he hit 44 home runs back in 2019 as the Brewers welcome in Aaron Nola and the Phillies to American Family Field after these two teams had the day off yesterday.

Against righties this season Yelich is batting .281 with a .521 slugging percentage compared to just a .241 average and .349 slugging percentage against lefties.

Sure, he’s been a better hitter on the road than at home this season but in August he hit .324 while posting a .559 slugging percentage as well.

Nola has allowed 14 home runs in just 64 innings pitched this season, giving up six combined in his last four starts.

All-time against Nola, Yelich is 11-39 with two doubles, a triple and home run and should Yelich not have a home run when Nola exits the game we shouldn’t worry with the Brewers outfielder hitting home runs against Phillies’ relievers Tanner Banks, Matt Strahm and Lou Trivino in his career as well.
