NL West rivals Giants and Diamondbacks go at it for the fourth and final time this series as San Francisco looks to even things up before leaving town.

They’ll send former Diamondback Robbie Ray to the mound who has been solid this season sporting a 8-3 record and 2.75 ERA.

He has held opponents to a .187 batting average in road starts this season and has held opponents scoreless in the first inning in 13 of his 17 total starts on the season.

The Diamondbacks have failed to score in the first inning in four straight games as righty Brandon Pfaadt gets the start for Arizona.

On the surface his 5.38 ERA doesn’t look appealing, but he’s been much better at home this season sporting a 4.02 ERA compared to a 6.60 road ERA.

He has held opponents scoreless in the first inning in 12 of 17 total starts this season with the Giants sitting bottom ten in first inning scoring on the year. First pitch for Giants vs Diamondbacks is slated for 9:40PM ET and odds for a NRFI to occur sitting at -125.

NRFI Best Bet Today #2: Kansas City Royals vs Seattle Mariners (-140)

We could be in store for a pitchers duel in tonight’s last game on the slate which features the Royals and Mariners going at it in Seattle.

Seth Lugo will start for Kansas City sporting a 2.74 ERA this season while holding opponents scoreless in the first inning in 13 of his 15 total starts.

The Mariners have failed to score in the first inning in five straight games and on the season have failed to score in the first inning in 81% of their home games which is second highest in the MLB.

They’ll send Bryan Woo to the mound who has been nothing short of spectacular at home this season sporting a 2.08 ERA and opponents batting average sitting at just .174 heading in.

Although the Royals have scored in the first inning in back to back games, they lead the league in NRFI results this season and have scored less than three runs per game across their last four. Play on a Royals vs Mariners NRFI to occur tonight at -140 odds and first pitch set for 10:10PM ET.
