MLB Player Props Today for Friday: Manny Machado, Padres Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-145)

Manny Machado is riding an 8-game hit streak where he’s covered this HRR line in every game while going 18-34 (.563) with two home runs and 11 RBI in the process.

Now Machado has the opportunity to feast on Matthew Libertore who he’s gone 2-3 against with a home run and two RBI.

Libertore has really struggled in July where he’s posted a 6.57 ERA across 12.1 innings of work. The southpaw has mainly faced right-handed bats, and they have hit .273 against Liberatore compared to lefties who hit only .241.

Machado has also had success against the St Louis Cardinals bullpen, going 4-8 with a home run against Ryan Tepera, 1-1 against Riley O’Brien and 1-2 against Kyle Leahy.

These teams just split a four-game series last week in St Louis in a series where Machado went 11-17. Machado was hit twice in the game that Liberatore started, and the benches were cleared so the Padres bats may have some added motivation with a good old revenge angle.

MLB Player Props Today for Friday: Julio Rodriguez, Mariners OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-125)

Julio Rodriguez is having a down year by his standards, but he has covered this HRR line in 6 of his last 9 games.

Now Rodriguez gets to face a starting pitcher that he’s had success against in the past in Jack Leiter who he’s gone 6-11 (.545) against with two home runs and 5 RBI.

Leiter is right-handed pitcher with reverse splits as righties are hitting .254 against him compared to lefties who hit only .185.

Leiter has also been worse on the road where he’s posted a 4.65 ERA compared to a 3.66 ERA at home. Rodriguez has found his power stroke with five home runs in his last 8 games.

J-Rod hasn’t fared as well at T-Mobile Park but that might change as the Mariners have added some protection behind Rodriguez as they traded for Josh Naylor and more recently Eugenio Suarez.
