MLB Player Props Today for Wednesday: Matt Olson, Braves OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+100)

Matt Olson has heated up during the last week where he’s hit .333 with a .975 OPS while recording 3+ HRR in four straight games and 5 of his last 6 games.

Now Olson has the opportunity to feast on David Peterson who he’s gone 5-19 (.263) against with four home runs, 12 RBI and three free passes.

Peterson has pitched very well for the New York Mets for the majority of the season but he’s coming off one of his worst outings where he allowed 4 runs on 5 hits (2HR) across 6 innings pitched against the Cleveland Guardians.

Olson has been a Mets-killer in general this season with an OPS over 1.000 and 2+ HRR in 6 of 8 head-to-head games while landing on one exactly in the other two games.

The 31-year-old veteran slugger has also thrived against some of the key relivers in the Mets bullpen including Edwin Diaz, Reed Garrett and Brooks Raley. Olson is projected to bat 3rd while being guaranteed a full 9 innings of at-bats against a pitcher he’s crushed in the past.

MLB Player Props Today for Wednesday: Addison Barger, Blue Jays OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-105)

Addison Barger has covered this HRR line in 6 of his last 8 games overall and in 18 of his last 21 games against a right-handed starting pitcher.

Barger has posted an impressive .272/.321/.537 slash line against righties on the season and 17 of his 18 home runs have come against right-handed pitching.

Cade Horton seems overdue for some regression as he’s now thrown 22+ scoreless innings across his last four outings.

We also have to keep in mind that 3 of those 4 starts came at home (CWS on road) where Horton as posted a 1.61 ERA and .202 OBA.

Now Horton heads north of the border for an outing on the road where he’s logged a 5.19 ERA and .294 OBA.

Horton relies heavily on his fastball and his changeup and Barger has a barrel rate above 13.4% against both pitches.

The Chicago Cubs bullpen also ranks 23rd with a 5.12 ERA during the last 30 days. The Blue Jays cleanup hitter has thrived against right-handed pitching and I expect him to bounce back after an 0-4 effort last night.
