MLB Player Props Today for Wednesday: Nick Kurtz, Athletics OVER 1.5 Runs + Hits + RBI (-135)

Nick Kurtz is coming off a game where he went 2-3 with a grand slam & a double and he’s covered this HRR line in 67% of his home games this season.

Kurtz has thrived at Sutter Health Park in Sacramento where he’s hit .298 across 98 at-bats compared to hitting only .202 on the road across the same number of at-bats.

Now Kurtz gets the opportunity to tee-off on Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Bryce Elder who’s posted a 5.92 ERA and 1.52 WHIP during the 2025 campaign.

His expected numbers are even worse with a 6.00 xERA (3rd percentile) and .305 xBA (2nd percentile). Elder relies heavily on a fastball that he throws 50% of the time and Kurtz has smashed heaters with a .287 batting average and .585 slugging percentage.

In night games in Sacramento, Kurtz has cleared this HRR line in 12 of his last 14 games and 76% of his games on the season. Let’s look for Kurtz to continue his dominance at home against a vulnerable starting pitcher.

MLB Player Props Today for Wednesday: Luis Arraez, Padres OVER 1.5 Runs + Hits + RBI (-150)

Luis Arraez has logged 3+ HRR in 4 of his last 5 games including last night’s game where he hit what proved to be a game-winning solo-blast in the bottom of the 7th of a 1-0 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Now Arraez gets the opportunity to feast on Brandon Pfaadt who he’s gone 10-16 (.625) against with two doubles. 

Pfaadt has struggled during the 2025 campaign where he’s posted a 5.42 ERA, and he just allowed 4 earned runs across 6 innings of work against a weak lineup in the San Francisco Giants.

He’s also really struggled on the road where he’s posted a 6.60 ERA across 45 innings pitched. There will also be opportunities against a horrendous Diamondbacks bullpen that ranks 27th in ERA (5.03) and 26th in WHIP (1.41) on the season. Arraez loves his home cooking as he’s hit .321 across 169 plate appearances at Petco Park.

The 28-year-old isn’t your prototypical clean-up hitter but that’s where Arraez is projected to hit and that gives him plenty of HRR opportunities. The juice is worth the squeeze on this one as Arraez will face vulnerable pitching throughout the contest.
