Expert NBA Player Props for Friday: Evan Mobley, Cleveland Cavaliers OVER 3.5 Assists (-128)

Evan Mobley has taken over as the secondary pick-&-roll ballhandler with Darius Garland on the shelf and he’s covered this line in four straight games while only falling short on opening night with three assists.

During those five games, Mobley has averaged 4.6 assists on 9.4 potential assists and 50+ passes made per game.

The Toronto Raptors have allowed the 3rd most assists in the NBA as they play at a fast pace that creates opportunities in transition.

We have already seen plenty of power forwards eclipse this number against Toronto including Jabari Smith Jr (5), Harrison Barnes (5), Giannis Antetokounmpo (7) and Jalen Johnson (8).

The Cavaliers are favored by -7.5 points with a total set high at 238.5 so we should see a competitive and high scoring contest. This is also an NBA Cup game so Mobley should see full minutes and assist chances regardless.

Donovan Mitchell is also listed as questionable due to a lingering hamstring issue and if sits Mobley becomes the primary ballhandler in the pick-&-roll.

Expert NBA Player Props for Friday: Pasal Siakam, Toronto Raptors OVER 35.5 Points + Rebounds (-106)

Pascal Siakam will again be relied upon to do it all as Tyrese Haliburton, TJ McConnell, Andrew Nembhard, Obi Toppin and Bennedict Mathurin are all on the shelf with various injuries.

Siakam has covered this line in 3/3 games excluding the blowout against Memphis with 40, 43 & 47 PRs while taking 25, 24 & 23 field goa attempts on an average of 39 minutes per game.

Now Siakam has the opportunity to feast on an Atlanta Hawks team that ranks 19th in points allowed and 26th in rebounds allowed while ranking 21st in PRs allowed to opposing forwards.

We have seen players similar to Siakam have success including Michael Porter Jr (41 PR), Chet Holmgren (42), Scottie Barnes (38), Franz Wagner (33) and Brandon Ingram (25).

The Hawks have again played at a fast pace this season and with a spread of -2.5 and a total of 232.5 we should see a competitive & high scoring contest.

The Pacers are 0-4 but Siakam is the only reason they have been competitive, and this will be the beginning of the NBA Cup where starters play full minutes even in blowouts.
