NBA Player Prop for Monday, October 27

Steph Curry (GSW) Over 4.5 Made Three-Pointers vs Memphis

We should see some points put on the board in tonight’s Grizzlies vs Warriors game. These teams played five times last season and four of the meetings went over the total. All three of the Warriors’ games have gone over the total thus far. Steph Curry has gone 13-of-26 from three-point range over his last two games. Curry averaged five made three-pointers per game against the Grizzlies last season. Opponents have made 40-percent of their three-point attempts against Memphis this season. Memphis runs at the fastest pace in the league and the Warriors generally do not have a problem playing at a brisk pace. Curry has scored an average of 33 points per game this season. The Grizzlies just allowed Indiana’s guard trio of Aaron Nesmith, Ben Sheppard and Bennedict Mathurin to shoot a combined 7-of-11 from three-point range on Sunday.

NBA Betting Trends for Monday, October 27

#521 Orlando Magic at #522 Philadelphia 76ers

Orlando won three of the four meetings last season with all four of those games staying under the total. All four of those contests had a closing total below 210, which is a far cry from the opening total that we’re seeing in this matchup. Joel Embiid only played in one of those contests, which the Magic won 98-86. This will be Orlando’s first road game after opening the season with a trio of home games. The Magic failed to cover the spread in all three of those games, losing outright twice as a favorite of six points against the Hawks and Bulls. Both of those home losses stayed comfortably under the total. Philadelphia is 2-0 to open the season with wins over the Celtics and Hornets with both of those games going over the total.

#523 Atlanta Hawks at #524 Chicago Bulls

These Eastern Conference foes split their four meetings last season with Chicago winning-and-covering the first two and Atlanta returning the favor in the final two. The underdog has earned an outright upset victory in seven of the last nine meetings. The Bulls are 2-0 straight-up and against the spread to open the season with both contests comfortably staying under the total. Similarly, the Hawks’ last two games have also stayed under their respective totals by 17.5 and 19.5 points.

#525 Brooklyn Nets at #526 Houston Rockets

Brooklyn has won six of the last seven meetings, including a pair of outright upset victories as a 12.5-point ‘dog and a nine-point ‘dog. Each of the last four meetings have stayed under the total as Houston failed to hit the 100-point mark in both contests last season. Brooklyn is on the second leg of a back-to-back after falling in San Antonio on Sunday.

#527 Boston Celtics at #528 New Orleans Pelicans

Boston has won each of the last eight meetings, but New Orleans covered the spread in both games last year as a double-digit ‘dog. The Pelicans’ offense had success against the Celtics’ defense last year, scoring 116 and 119 points in those two contests (both games went over the total). Boston is on the second leg of a back-to-back after losing in Detroit on Sunday. Both teams are still searching for their first win as the Celtics are 0-3 straight-up and against the spread thus far and the Pelicans have dropped their first two.

#529 Toronto Raptors at #530 San Antonio Spurs

The Spurs have won-and-covered each of the last three meetings. Both teams are on the second leg of a back-to-back after the Raptors lost in Dallas on Sunday while the Spurs handled business against the Nets. San Antonio has won its first three games by an average of 16.0 points per game this season.

#531 Oklahoma City Thunder at #532 Dallas Mavericks

Dallas is one of the very small number of teams that can say they’ve enjoyed success against this version of the Thunder. After knocking Oklahoma City out of the 2023 playoffs, Dallas went 3-1 straight-up and against the spread in this series last year. Luka Doncic was not in the lineup for all three of those wins last year, so this version of the Mavericks has enjoyed success against the defending champs. Dallas is on the second leg of a back-to-back after beating the Raptors at home on Sunday.

#533 Phoenix Suns at #534 Utah Jazz

Phoenix has won each of the last ten meetings (6-4 ATS). The Suns covered the spread in both meetings in Salt Lake City last year. Seven of the last eight meetings have gone over the total. The Suns have dropped their first two road games this season, losing and failing to cover double-digit spreads against the Clippers and Nuggets. All three of the Suns’ games have gone over the total. Utah has been feisty so far this season, beating the Clippers in their home opener then falling to the Kings by one point but easily covering the spread.

#535 Denver Nuggets at #536 Minnesota Timberwolves

The Timberwolves have enjoyed success in this Western Conference matchup. After knocking the Nuggets out of the 2023 playoffs, Minnesota won all four regular season meetings last year (3-1 ATS). Three of those four games went over the total.

#537 Memphis Grizzlies at #538 Golden State Warriors

Golden State won four of the five meetings last season. All four of the Warriors’ wins went over the total, while the Grizzlies’ lone win stayed under the total. Golden State should be well-rested after having the weekend off. All three of the Warriors’ games have gone over the total thus far.
