NBA Betting Trends for Wednesday, October 22
#505 Cleveland Cavaliers at #506 New York Knicks
Cleveland won-and-covered all four meetings last season while out-scoring the Knicks by an average of 17.0 points per game. New York failed to eclipse the 105-point mark in any of those four games. Since the beginning of the 2022-23 season, the under is 12-4 in the last 16 meetings between these squads.
#507 Brooklyn Nets at #508 Charlotte Hornets
Brooklyn won three of the four meetings last year (2-2 ATS). Since the start of the 2022-23 season, the Nets have gone 8-3 straight-up, 5-5-1 against the spread in this Eastern Conference matchup. Three of the four meetings stayed under the total as the Hornets scored an average of 98.0 points per game in those contests.
#509 Miami Heat at #510 Orlando Magic
These Southeast Division foes split their four regular season meetings last year with Orlando winning-and-covering the first two and Miami returning the favor in the final two. The over is 7-3 in the last ten contests with three of last year’s games easily going over the total.
#511 Toronto Raptors at #512 Atlanta Hawks
The road ‘dog won all three meetings last season. The Hawks earned a convincing 29-point win in Toronto in December, then the Raptors returned the favor with a pair of wins in Atlanta in January. The underdog is 8-1 against the spread in the last nine meetings with six outright upset victories.
#513 Philadelphia 76ers at #514 Boston Celtics
The Celtics have won six of the last seven meetings with the Sixers’ lone win coming on Christmas Day last year as a 9.5-point road ‘dog. All four of last season’s games went over the total.
#515 Detroit Pistons at #516 Chicago Bulls
The Pistons went 3-1 straight-up and against the spread in this Central Division matchup last season. All three of Detroit’s wins came within a span of 11 days in February before the All-Star Break. The road team has won five of the last six meetings.
#517 New Orleans Pelicans at #518 Memphis Grizzlies
Memphis won all four meetings last season, but all four games were competitive and this has been a tightly-contested series over the last couple years. New Orleans held a halftime lead in two of those games last season and the underdog has gone 6-2 against the spread in the last eight meetings.
#519 Washington Wizards at #520 Milwaukee Bucks
Milwaukee has won eight of the last nine meetings, but Washington has covered the spread as a double-digit ‘dog in four of the last five.
#521 Los Angeles Clippers at #522 Utah Jazz
The Clippers are 6-1 straight-up, 5-2 against the spread in the last seven meetings. Los Angeles scored an average of 127.5 points per game against the Jazz last season. Three of their four meetings went over the total and the lone game that stayed under the closing total only did so by a half-point.
#523 San Antonio Spurs at #524 Dallas Mavericks
Over the last two seasons, Dallas is 7-1 straight-up, 6-2 against the spread in this Southwest Division matchup. Three of the four meetings last year went over the total.
#525 Sacramento Kings at #526 Phoenix Suns
Sacramento won three of the four meetings last season (2-2 ATS). The favored team has won each of the last ten meetings between these Western Conference foes (7-3 ATS).
#527 Minnesota Timberwolves at #528 Portland Trailblazers
The home team won-and-covered all four meetings last season. The Timberwolves beat the Blazers by 25 and 16 in Minnesota, but Portland earned a pair of upset wins as a home ‘dog last November.
