NFL Week 8 First Touchdown Props Prediction: Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts (+230)

Jonathan Taylor has scored an anytime touchdown in 5/7 games (11 total) and he has the highest anytime touchdown price I’ve ever seen in my life at -425 for Week 8 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Taylor has one first touchdown while recording the MOST red zone carries (36) as one of three players with 30+ attempts inside the 20-yard line (Christian McCaffrey & Josh Jacobs).

Unbelievably, the Tennessee Titans haven’t allowed a first quarter touchdown pass yet this season, but they have allowed four first quarter rushing touchdowns and a league high 10 running back rushing touchdowns.

No surprise, the Colts have struck first in 6/7 (85.7%) while the Titans have only struck first in 1/7 games (14.3%).

Indianapolis is the biggest favorite of Week 8 (-14.5) and they have dominated in early scoring. Let’s hope they land in the red area where JT is their go-to-guy.

NFL Week 8 First Touchdown Props Prediction: Tez Johnson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+1700)

Considering we took the odds-on favorite to score first in Jonathan Taylor, let’s swing for the fences with a +1700 longshot on Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Tez Johnson for our second selection.

The Bucs wide receiver core has dealt with a ton of injuries during the past few weeks including Mike Evans, Chris Godwin & Emeka Egbuka and on starting running back Bucky Irving is also on the shelf with a foot & shoulder injury.

Tez Johnson has stepped up with touchdowns in each of his last two games (1 team first) while catching 9 passes for a combined 162 yards in his last three games.

Johnson has seen an uptick in reps, playing 68.1% of the snaps last week and 71.7% of the snaps the week prior.

The New Orleans Saints have allowed 6 passing touchdowns in the first quarter (8 total) while only managing to strike first once themselves (14.3%).

Meanwhile Tampa Bay is favored by -4.5 points, and they have slight advantage in scoring first (3/7 games 42.9%). Let’s turn 10 bucks into $170 in Week 8.
