NFL Week 9 First Touchdown Props Prediction: Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts (+330)

Jonathan Taylor cashed a first touchdown for us in Week 8 at +230 and I’ll gladly roll with him again in Week 9 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Taylor has scored an anytime touchdown in 6/8 games (14 total) and he’s managed to string together four 3 touchdown efforts in his last six games.

JT has two first touchdowns while recording the MOST red zone carries (37) as one of three players with 30+ attempts inside the 20-yard line (Christian McCaffrey & Josh Jacobs).

No surprise, the Colts have struck first in 7/8 (87.5%) while the Steelers have only struck first in 5/7 games (71.4%).

Admittedly, Pittsburgh hasn’t allowed a ton of running back TDs, but Josh Jacobs did score against them last week and Taylor’s volume alone makes him appealing.

Indianapolis is favored by -3 in a game with a huge total set at 50.5, and they have dominated in early scoring. Let’s hope they land in the red area where JT is their go-to-guy.

NFL Week 9 First Touchdown Props Prediction: Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers (+550)

Tucker Kraft is coming off his first two touchdown effort of the 2025 campaign and he’s now scored in three straight games and 5 of his last 7 games.

We cashed an anytime touchdown ticket on Kraft last (+150) and he actually scored his 2nd first touchdown of the season.

Now Kraft has an opportunity to feast on a Carolina Panthers defense that has allowed the 8th most touchdowns (4) and 5th most yards (528) to opposing tight ends.

The Panthers just got carved up by the Buffalo Bills in a 40-9 loss and Bryce Young is returning but he’s struggled on the road with a 2-15 record and 18/14 TD/INT ratio.

The Pack has struck first in 6/7 games (85.7%) while the Panthers have only scored first in 3/8 games (37.5%).

Green Bay is the biggest favorite of Week 9 (-12.5) and they are playing at home where they are 3-0 on the season. Let’s look for Kraft to dominate again this week.
