Best NFL Monday Night Football Player Props Prediction: De’Von Achane UNDER 27.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

I’ve been keeping an eye on the injury report as De’Von Achane is dealing with a rib injury that forced him out of last week’s game against the New York Jets.

Achane has been fully activated for Monday Night Football, but he’s fallen short of this line in back-t-back games while seeing only one target in each game.

Now Achane is facing off against a Pittsburgh Steelers defense that ranks above average in receiving yards allowed to opposing running backs with only 28.5 yards allowed per game.

Only three opposing running backs have beat this line against the Steelers: Chase Brown (28), Zavier Scott (43) and Rhamondre Stevenson (38).

I fully expect Tua Tagovailoa to be out of his element in Pittsburgh with temperature projections around 20 degrees as he’s gone 0-7 SU in game played below 46 degrees.

The Steelers defense has done a great job containing running backs on the outside and you have to wonder how comfortable Achane will be exposing his ribs on tough catches.

Best NFL Monday Night Football Player Props Prediction: Aaron Rodgers OVER 20.5 Pass Completions (-108)

Aaron Rodgers has struggled to push the ball deep this season, but he’s thrived against Cover 2 defense while completing 31 of 45 passes for 406 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.

The Miami Dolphins defense has run Cover 2 at the highest rate in the NFL (26.5%) while allowing a 54.2% drop back success rate in that coverage (3rd highest).

The Dolphins have also blitzed at the 3rd highest rate in the NFL (34.8%) while generating pressure on 37.8% of those.

However, Rodgers has been pressured on an NFL-low 26.1% of his blitzed drop backs. Rodgers is coming off arguably his best game of the season in a critical game against the Baltimore Ravens, and he gave props to his offensive line “I thought the pass protection was excellent. I don’t know if I hit the ground one time today without being clumsy and falling down.”

Miami has allowed 8/13 opposing quarterbacks to eclipse their respective completion lines and Rodgers has cleared this line in 6/11 games he’s started and finished. Let’s look for Rodgers to cook the Fish on some short routes leading to an over on his pass completions.
