NFL Week 2 First Touchdown Props Prediction: CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys (+500)

For starters, the New York Giants failed to score a touchdown whatsoever in Week 1 and they have only scored first in 4/17 during each of the last two seasons.

The Dallas Cowboys managed to score first in Week 1 in a brutal matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles as Javonte Williams found the end zone on a one-yard run in the first quarter.

The Cowboys struggled to strike first last season, but they dealt with injuries including their starting quarterback Dak Prescott and they scored first in 64.7% of their games in Brian Schottenheimer’s first season as offensive coordinator in 2023.

CeeDee Lamb did catch 7 of 13 targets for 110 yards last week but he will be anxious to right the ship as he did drop several passes.

Lamb scored a team first touchdown three times last season and two of those were the game’s first touchdown.

The Cowboys are also favored by -4.5 points and Lamb will have the advantage of playing on the fast track at Jerry World.

NFL Week 2 First Touchdown Props Prediction: Derrick Henry, Baltimore Ravens (+350)

This almost feels like a no-brainer and that’s reflected in the price, but we still get better than 3 to 1 odds.

Derrick Henry led the NFL in game first touchdowns during the 2024 campaign (7) and only two players had more team first touchdowns (Kyren Williams 13 & James Cook 8).

No surprise the Baltimore Ravens led the NFL in striking first with an 84.2% success rate while the Cleveland Browns tied for the 3rd worst rate at 29.4%.

Baltimore did fail to score first in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills, but they should be anxious to get back in the scoring column quickly after Sunday nights debacle where they let the victory slip through their fingers.

The Ravens are also the biggest favorites in Week 2 with a spread set at -11.5 against the Cleveland Browns.

Cincinatti Bengals running back Chase Brown scored first last week against Cleveland and I’m backing Henry to find paydirt early in Week 2.
