Amon-Ra St Brown is trending towards missing this game with an ankle injury and the Detroit Lions receiver room was already running thin with Sam LaPorta, Kalif Raymond and Brock Wright on the shelf.

The Dallas Cowboys defense has been vulnerable against the pass all season as they have allowed the MOST receiving yards while ranking 21st against outside receivers where TeSlaa lines up 91% of the time.

The Cowboys have allowed two receivers to eclipse 45 yards in six straight games. This game sets up as a shootout with a total being set high at 54.5 and the Cowboys have proven the ability to push scoring making them a worthy running mate.

NFL Thursday Night Football Props Prediction: George Pickens, Cowboys OVER 5.5 Receptions (-125)

George Pickens has been one of the best receivers in the NFL this season as he’s already caught 73 passes for 1,142 yards and 8 touchdowns while logging 6+ receptions in five straight games.

In his last five games with CeeDee Lamb on the field, Pickens has averaged 7.4 receptions on 10.2 targets per game.

The Detroit Lions defense has run single high coverage at the highest rate in the NFL during the past three weeks (46.1%) and Pickens has led the Cowboys with a 54.5% target share against that coverage.

Just last week, three Green Bay Packer receivers eclipsed their respective receptions line against Detroit as Dontayvion Wicks caught 6 passes and Christian Watson & Romeo Doubs both caught 4 passes.

The sets up as a pass heavy game script for Pickens and Cowboys as they enter this contest as -3-point road underdogs with a huge total of 54.5. Dallas should target Pickens early and often in a shootout.
