Expert WNBA Props for Tuesday: Caitlin Clark, Fever OVER 8.5 Assists (-112)

Caitlin Clark has covered this line in 75% of her games this season and now she draws the most favorable matchup possible as the Connecticut Sun allow the MOST assists per game in the WNBA.

Clark has recorded 53% of her assists in the paint where Connecticut also ranks dead last defensively. Aliyah Boston has been the recipient of 44% of Clarks assists and their two-woman game should shine as the Sun also have a horrible pick & roll defense.

Clark landed on only 6 assists against Connecticut in mid-June, but she only played 29 minutes due to a 17-point blowout.

Clark has worked her way back from the injury and coach White said she’s “all systems go”. The Fever are 16-point road favorites so a blowout could limit minutes late.

However, the Sun have been a bit more competitive recently and Clark will get plenty of potential assists early to clear this line while building a potential lead.

Expert WNBA Props for Tuesday: Shakira Austin, Mystics OVER 13.5 Points (-120)

Shakira Austin has covered this line in 6/10 games since becoming a starter while averaging 15.8 points per and she still leads the Washington Mystics in usage despite the return of Brittney Sykes.

Austin did fall short of this line in her last game (9 Pts) but she missed 3-5 minutes in the 2nd quarter due to a “restroom break”.

The Los Angeles Sparks own the 2nd worst defensive ranking in the WNBA, and they allow they have allowed the 4th most in the paint during their last five games (where Austin scores 89% of her points).

The Sparks also rank 2nd worst overall at the rim where Austin scores 60% of her points. Austin has fallen short of this line more often than not when playing on the road due to her earlier games coming off the bench.

However, Austin has thrived away from home as a shooter where she has logged a 53.8% shotting percentage compared to 41.7% at home.

Austin hasn’t faced the Sparks during the 2025 but she did score 14 points in her last head-to-head game against them in August.
