Secret vs. Syman Preview & Prediction - Free CS:GO Betting Picks 8/8

The FunSpark ULTI 2020 - European Qualifier is set to begin, and we have a Group A match upcoming between Secret and Syman. The 16 team qualifier participants are broken into two groups of eight for the Group Stage in which they take part in a GSL format group with the opening matches being single map while every game afterwards will be a best of three match series. The winner of each group will earn a bid to the FunSpark ULTI 2020 where some of the best teams in the world will compete for their share of $300,000 USD.

The 77th ranked Secret could potentially have to forfeit this one if they don't find a fifth player. The team picked up smF on July 5th who has played with teammate PERCY on multiple Danish teams so there may be some existing chemistry between them. Secret still hasn't replaced juanflatroo though and they currently only have four rostered players. Both AnJ and Radification have been used as subs in the past, so they could potentially be used as the fifth player. Their Team Manager SamE has been used as a sub in the past as well, so Secret has options as to who will be their fifth player.

Their opponent for this match will be the 36th ranked Syman. They have been a tough team since the June 6th addition of kade0 who had been playing as a sub for the team before officially joining the team. Syman has quite a few great wins on their resume, but at the same time they have some very questionable losses as well. Train has been the best map for the team recently, and they've been tough on Overpass and Mirage as well. Their only downfall can be the fact that this is a single map match and their map pool is very similar to Secret's.

Pick: Secret ML (+140 @ Bovada)

There is a lot of people who are on Syman here, but I'm not one of them. I believe much of the Syman backing comes from the fact that we don't know who Secret's fifth player will be yet. I believe that it's fairly easy to figure out who will fill in for Secret though as they've only used AnJ, Radification and their Team Manager SamE as subs before, and they will most likely turn to one of these guys (most likely Radification in my opinion). Single map matches are much easier to win than a series, and I like Secret's chances if they can land this contest on the right map. I'll take a stab at this nice +140 price on a talented team with a very similar map pool to the favorites, given that they can fill their roster.
