2024 NFL Draft Betting Guide– Wide Receivers
2024 NFL Draft – Wide Receivers
If you are looking to get a jump on your 2024 NFL handicapping, let’s take a look at some of the top players at each position for the 2024 NFL Draft after the NFL Combine. Speed is important, but not the end-all, be-all. Xavier Worthy of Texans ran a record 4.21 in the 40 and nobody was remotely close. We’ll take a look at the top WRs in the Draft with Combine numbers.
(odds from Draft Kings, first non-qb selected)
1)Marvin Harrison Jr. (-650), Ohio State, 6-4, 209 (did not run the 40), 77 ¼ wingspan
Harison just produces and his father was a Hall of Famer. He could be better with his size, frame and speed than his father and certainly showed that Ohio State with 31 TDs and 2,613 receiving yards in three seasons, but played mainly the last two. No major weaknesses.
2)Malik Nabors, (+650), LSU, 6-0, 200 (did not work out)
This talented receiver caught 89 passes last season for 1,569 yards and 14 TDs. He’s outstanding after the catch and has soft hands. He didn’t run the 40 and that might hurt him but he’s likely run under 4.50 and has a strong vertical. His lack of height compared to Harrison and the other receivers means that he can’t really overpower them or use his length to get a contested catch.
3)Rome Odunze, (+3000), Washington, 6-3, 212 (4.45 40)
Odunze is a big, physical receiver, who showed his athleticism with a vertical jump of 39 inches and a 4.45 40. He’s not Harrison Jr. or a burner like Xavier Worthy, but can make contested catches and can run good routes.
4)Xavier Worthy (+15000), Texas, 6-0, 165, 4.22 40
Worthy woke up everybody up with a dazzling 4.22 40 at the Combine. He’s on the thin side so that’s something he has to work on, in terms of bulking up. He had just five TDs last season, which is string considering his speed. The most explosive receiver in the draft.
5)Adonai Mitchell (n/a), Texas, 6-3, 205, 4.34 40
How did Texas not win the whole thing with all these explosive receivers. Mithcell has the height and ran a great time to be a productive receiver. However, he put up ordinary numbers aside from 11 TDs last season. He had six games in 2023 in which he tallied less than 40 yards receiving
