Perfect 10 Week Three

Sad to see you go: Notre Dame Welcome to the Playoff Hunt: Tennessee; Let’s take a look at our newest version of the Perfect Ten

  1. Georgia (+280) - The Bulldogs are now 2-0 after a cakewalk in week 2. They’ll have a bit more of a challenge on the road this week in their SEC opener against Kentucky. Still, it should be a multi-touchdown win. Last Week: #1

  1. Texas (+500) - A win in the Big House is always impressive but the way Texas manhandled Michigan last week has sent shudders through many of the top teams in College Football. Things get much easier this week against UTSA at home. Last Week: #3

  1. Ohio State (+380) - The Buckeyes are off this week after playing two straight cupcakes to start the season. They should be 3-0 after week four with a modest date against Marshall at home. Last Week: #2

  1. Miami (+2500) - Cam Ward did nothing to hurt his Heisman campaign in an easy home win in Week 2. They’ll roll again this week at home against Ball State. Last Week: 8th

  1. Oregon (+1100) - The Ducks survived another closer-than-expected home game against Boise State on Saturday night. They now have a rivalry matchup with Oregon State this week. Last Week: #4

  1. Alabama (+1200) - The Crimson Tide struggled for the second straight year against South Florida, this time at home. They get another good test this week when they travel to Wisconsin. Last Week: #7

  1. Ole Miss (+1400) - Ole Miss has been dominant, as they should have been, in each of the first two weeks against inferior opponents. That trend should continue this week against an overmatched Wake Forest team on the road. Last Week: #8

  2. Penn State (+2000) - Penn State struggled against Bowling Green at home in week 2 but they’ll have a week to rest up for what should be another dominant win, at home against Kent State in week four. Last Week: 9th

  1. Missouri (+4000) - The Tigers get set for what should be an interesting encounter with Boston College this week. The Tigers' offense thrives through the air and the Eagles' secondary has been very good thus far. Last Week: #10

  1. Tennessee (+2500) - The Volunteers hammered NC State on the road this week and served notice that they could very well be a playoff team. They’ll get a layup this week when they host Kent State. Last Week: Unranked

Week Three Game of the Week:

#24 Boston College at #9 Missouri (-17.5): This is an interesting matchup of contrasting styles. Boston College has shot up to a top 25 ranking under first-year head coach Bill O’Brien and has done so with a run-first offense and an excellent secondary. Missouri returns most of its explosive offense from last year and wants to beat teams through the air. The oddsmakers aren’t taking BC seriously in this matchup. Should they be?
