ENCE and FaZe are facing in the 9th place decider semi-final of the cs_summit 6 Europe, and FaZe are firm favorites in this duel. The winner will face G2 or Movistar Riders in the upper final. These rivals have met twice before, and FaZe won both encounters.
The Finnish team ENCE suffered a couple of 2-1 defeats to Heroic in the group stage of this tournament and failed to make it to the playoffs. ENCE lost four of the previous five matches after going six games without a loss, and have a 53.8% win rate over the past three months. When it comes to the maps during the same period, ENCE played well on Overpass (66.7%), Train (64.3%), and Dust2 (63.6%). On the other hand, they were showing weaker displays on Inferno (20.0%).
FaZe were powerless in two encounters with BIG in the group stage and failed to win even one map in defeats as a lone win over Heretics wasn’t enough to progress to the playoffs. The European side also lost four of the last five matches, and have a 60.0% win rate over the last three months. In that span, FaZe was unbeaten on Vertigo (only played once) and performed the best on Dust2 (70.6%) and Train (70.0%). They were below average on Nuke (42.9%) and Inferno (46.2%).
FaZe did win both H2H duels so far, but ENCE managed to get a map on each occasion, and I am backing the Finns to do it again here. Even though FaZe is a better-ranked team, they did nothing to show us they are unbeatable at this tournament, so ENCE definitely has a chance in this clash. I wouldn’t be shocked if they even get a victory, but I will not bet on the winner.
