ENCE and X6tence will face each other in the Group C elimination match for cs_summit 6. The cs_summit 6 is a Regional Major Ranking tournament featuring the best European CS:GO teams and an impressive $125,000 prize pool. Teams earn Regional Major Ranking points via the tournament. These RMR points contribute to a team’s chances to secure an invitation to the ESL One Rio Major in November.
The Finnish squad has shown a lot of improvement in the last few months. With a lineup comprising young players and a veteran, allu on the roster, ENCE does not lack firepower. However, the team could do with a better map pool, as their limited options handicap the team’s chances in the map veto stage. ENCE has been on a losing streak, having lost matches to Heroic, G2 and FaZe Clan. The team relies on Allu’s aggressive AWPing to secure an advantage against better-ranked teams. While this works wonders against lower-tier teams, top teams have caught on and often prepare themselves for aggressive AWP pushes by the former Ninjas in Pyjamas player.
X6tence recently bought the former Copenhagen Flames CS:GO roster. This move is just a change in the organization for the players, whose roster has shown steady improvements over the past few months. This core roster climbed nearly eighty ranks while on Copenhagen Flames and showed considerable promise in the European scene. Refrezh and HECTOz are the star players on the team. HECTOz has a 1.10 rating and has been very consistent on most of the maps. X6tence’s map pool includes Overpass and Inferno as the team’s strongest choices. The team’s CT side gives them a solid chance against better-ranked opponents. It was on Inferno that X6tence took ENCE to double overtime. While they eventually lost with a 20-22 score, it was an impressive performance by the Danish players.
ENCE are the clear favorites to win this match. The team has a better HLTV ranking and has produced strong results recently. However, the former Copenhagen Flames team has taken ENCE to multiple overtimes in their recent head-t0-head match. I expect them to continue putting up an impressive performance in this match. I fully expect that X6tence can do enough to at least in a map in this series.
