Fnatic and Team Adroit will face each other in the group stage of the ESL One Birmingham Southeast Asia. The ESL One Birmingham South East Asia has six Dota 2 teams competing online for a part of the $40,000 prize pool.
The group stage of the tournament will be joined by one team from the closed qualifier and another team from the ESL SEA Championship 2020. All matches are best-of-three matches and the group stage features a round-robin format. The top two teams advance to the upper bracket while the bottom two teams are eliminated. The third and fourth place teams advance to the lower bracket.
Fnatic’s Dota 2 roster is notorious for its aggressive early game. The SEA team burst onto the International Dota 2 scene with DJ’s Tiny play which set the pace for most of their games. Fnatic’s performance has seen several ups and downs; but their most recent performance has not been inspiring.
Team Adroit has been more active than Fnatic in the recent weeks. Team Adroit has secured match victories over TNC Predator and even taken a game off Fnatic in April. The team has potential, but whether they can actually win a series is up for grabs.
