Is anyone else amped for Week 2 of the LCS or is it just me? As is customary for the first day of the weekend, we only have a two-game slate ahead of us for the day, but that doesn't mean that we will be lacking in action. The first match of the day will be between a pair of 1-1 record teams in Golden Guardians and Counter Logic Gaming. This contest will be followed by what will surely be a fun one between TSM (1-1) and Immortals (0-2). I'm going to break down each of these contests, and share my play on the bout as well with you here.

Golden Guardians (-155) vs. Counter Logic Gaming (+115)

The first match of the slate for the day from the LCS is one that I am personally looking forward to. These teams have identical records, and their first two contests mirror each other pretty well too. Golden Guardians beat bottom-dweller Dignitas in their first contest before falling to the tough team of Team Liquid. Meanwhile, Counter Logic Gaming fell to another one of the LCS purebloods in Evil Geniuses before rebounding with a nice win over Immortals. Something that scares me about backing Counter Logic Gaming is the fact that they rely almost exclusively on the output of their Bot Laner Stixxay, and that is usually not a good feature for any team. Across from Stixxay in the Bot Lane will be FBI for Golden Guardians, and I like what he brings to the table. GG's Mid Laner Damonte was outstanding in his debut with the team as well, turning in six kills, five assists and only two deaths. His stat line in their loss to Team Liquid wasn't bad either with three kills, three assists and two deaths in the contest. I love the Mid-Bot Lane combination of FBI and Damonte, and I expect them to be the difference-maker in this bout. Golden Guardians shouldn't have much issue with Counter Logic Gaming, so I am laying the juice to open the day.

Pick: Golden Guardians (-155)

TSM (-280) vs. Immortals (+195)

This is a contest that I don't intend to spend a ton of time breaking down. TSM dropped their split-opening bout against Team Liquid, but they were able to bounce back nicely in their second game against Dignitas. Meanwhile, Immortals has not been good at all in their two losses to FlyQuest and Counter Logic Gaming. When you break down this contest lane by lane, the Jungler position is the only one that you could even possibly give any sort of advantage to Immortals, and I am not sold that Immortals's Potluck is better than TSM's Spica. Bovada has not released a kill spread at this time, so for the sake of this article, I will take the moneyline for TSM. However, if a spread is released before the beginning of the match or if you can find a spread anywhere, bet the barn behind it. Aside from Immortals being almost instant fade material, TSM has a solid starting five and they will be a contender for the split title. Expect TSM to make quick work of Immortals in this bout.

Pick: TSM (-280)
