I'm somewhat somber as I write this, and this is because today's slate will be the last one of LCS action until Friday. I'm not a huge fan of the way the LCS schedules things, but I won't bore you with that. We do have a decent four game slate ahead to close out Week 2. It's always important to keep in mind that LCS regular season contests are single-game matches, so there is always some volatility when betting on this league. I will rarely wager more than one unit on these games, but I do see some value in these matches.

Evil Geniuses (-127) vs. Team Liquid (-105)

The first match of the day is a great one between two of the stronger teams in the LCS. Both teams in this contest have a few players toting nice KDAs, and I believe this one is a relatively even bout. Although Jungler Broxah, Mid Laner Jensen and Bot Laner Tactical have been solid for Team Liquid, I am giving the nod to Evil Geniuses in all three of those positions. The only advantage I see Team Liquid holding is in the Top Laner with Impact over Evil Geniuses's Kumo. I am on Evil Geniuses to take down Team Liquid and hand them their first loss of the split.

Pick: Evil Geniuses (-127)

FlyQuest (-263) vs. Dignitas (+209)

The second contest of the day will see two teams who have talented rosters battling, but only one of them has been playing up to expectations. FlyQuest has won two in a row after losing their opening match to defending Spring Split champions Cloud9 and they have looked sharp. We know what FlyQuest is capable of with an experienced starting five in Top Laner Solo, Jungler Santorin, Mid Laner PowerOfEvil, Bot Laner MasH and Support IgNar. They just recalled MasH from the minor leagues, and he looked great in his return to the LCS. Meanwhile, Dignitas's starting five is Top Laner V1per, Jungler Akaadian, Mid Laner Froggen, Bot Laner Johnsun and Support aphromoo. This lineup is stellar on paper, but it has yet to translate into a win for them. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I expect Dignitas to get it together. However, it won't be in this match.

Pick: FlyQuest Spread -7.5 Kills (-116)

Cloud9 (-799) vs. Golden Guardians (+551)

I am not going to spend a ton of time on the third game on this slate. Golden Guardians is 1-2 and they have come back to earth after their split-opening win over Dignitas. I do like what Golden Guardians has in the combo of Mid Laner Damonte and Bot Laner FBI, but they are simply outmatched here. Mid Laner Nisqy and Bot Laner Zven are more talented and more experienced. Don't overthink this one, lay the spread with Cloud9 as they are not only the better team in this contest, but the best team in the LCS.

Pick: Cloud9 Spread -9.5 Kills (-126)

100 Thieves (-231) vs. Immortals (+186)

The last game on the docket for today is between two 0-3 teams who have caught some bad breaks. 100 Thieves has fallen victim to a tough schedule thus far with their three losses coming to Evil Geniuses, Cloud9 and Team Liquid. To be fair, Immortals has only had one game that was within their reach so far against Counter Logic Gaming, and they fell short there. No one expected them to compete with FlyQuest and TSM, and they lived up to their expectations so to speak. 100 Thieves has the better Top Laner in Ssumday and Bot Laner in Cody Sun, and I believe the advantage in these two key positions will make a difference. I have 100 Thieves winning this contest with relative ease as they pull their first victory of the LCS Summer Split.

Pick: 100 Thieves Spread -5.5 Kills (-123)
