The Mid-Season Cup 2020 rolls on as DAMWON Gaming will battle it out with Top Esports. The Mid-Season Cup 2020 is a battle between the top four teams from both the LCK (premier Korean League of Legends league) and the LPL (premier Chinese League of Legends league). The event is broken into two stages, Group Stage and Knockout Stage.
The eight participants are broken into two groups of four for the Group Stage. They then take place in a round-robin style bracket featuring six single-round matches between the four teams in one calendar day. The top two from each group will advance to a single elimination bracket for the Knockout Stage which will feature best-of-five round matches.

DAMWON Gaming has lost some firepower since their huge run in 2019 in which they won both a Premier Tier and Major Tier event.. They finished fourth in the LCK Spring Split. The team took an exit from the Playoffs of the split in the quarterfinals at the hands of DragonX in a 2-3 battle.
What makes DAMWON Gaming a good team is the fact that they rely heavily on teamwork to grab wins. Mid-laner ShowMaker and top-laner Nuguri are typically the players that lead the team into victory. Ghost and Nuclear have split time at the ADC position, although Ghost is arguably the better option of the two. If DAMWON has poor drafts, then it could be a long tournament for the team from the LCK.
Top Esports Preview
Top Esports enters as the runner-up of the LPL Spring 2020 Split. They were able to advance past Team WE and Invictus Gaming in the quarterfinals and semifinals before falling just short. The team gave the eventual-champions JD Gaming all the could handle before losing 2-3.
Much of Top Esports' late Spring Split success came after the return of JackeyLove, one of the best ADCs in the world. The former Invictus Gaming stud JackeyLove signed with Top Esports April 3rd and provided the team with a huge boost, picking up 2 MVPs throughout the playoffs. The real bread and butter of the team has been Knight. The mid-laner led the entire LPL Playoffs as he was named MVP five times during that period.

I am expecting this contest here to be very one-sided. If you're interested in laying some juice (vig), then you definitely want to lay the -265 on Top Esports with confidence. However, I am looking for a little more value to help cut the vig down. Both of these teams prefer to move at a slower than average pace. I would be very shocked to see DAMWON Gaming put up much of a fight here against the tougher team in Top Esports. For these reasons, I am playing the under on total kills.
