FURIA vs. Complexity, Preview & Prediction - Free 12/4 CS:GO

FURIA is a slight favorite in this Best of 3 encounter when they take on Complexity in the quarter-finals of the DreamHack Masters Winter 2020 Europe on Friday. The winner of this meeting will go on to face a better team from a clash between Gambit and Astralis in the semi-finals.

FURIA Team Stats and Latest Results

FURIA was victorious at the ESL Pro League Season 12 North America, IEM New York 2020 North America, and BLAST Premier Fall 2020 Showdown and won over $150,000 for their efforts at those tournaments. The best South American team in CS:GO opened the DreamHack Masters Winter 2020 Europe with wins over North and G2. FURIA won 14 of the previous 17 matches.

In the last three months, FURIA was quite strong on Inferno (82.4% win rate), Train (80.0%), and Vertigo (80.0%), while they were average only on Overpass. Since September 2020, FURIA is playing with the current lineup that appeared on 56 maps with a record of 39 wins and 17 losses. The lineup consists of HEN1 (1.19 rating), arT (1.03), yuurih (1.20), VINI (1.05), and KSCERATO (1.16).

Complexity Team Stats and Latest Results

Complexity couldn’t reach the Grand final of the IEM Beijing-Haidian 2020 Europe after losing to Vitality in the semis and had to settle with 3rd place and $12,000. They suffered a surprising defeat to Cloud9 and failed to secure a ticket for the BLAST Fall Finals, while they beat ENCE and FaZe to make it to the playoffs at this tournament. Complexity won seven of the last 14 games.

During the previous three months, Complexity was invincible on Inferno (played twice) and played well on Overpass (71.4%) and Mirage (62.5%), while they didn’t impress on Train (33.3%) and Dust2 (37.5%). Complexity assembled its current squad in October this year and appeared on 29 maps with a record of 16 wins and 13 losses. The team members are jks (1.12), RUSH (0.95), k0nfig (1.17), poison (1.07), and blameF (1.23).

FURIA vs. Complexity H2H Record

These rivals have met just once before, and FURIA won that clash 2-1 at the DreamHack Open Anaheim 2020 in February this year after coming from behind.

FURIA vs. Complexity Betting Preview

I am far from being impressed with Complexity’s form of late. It’s clear that they are going through a rough phase of the season, and even though they recorded a pair of wins at this tournament, they needed a maximum of three maps to do it. Maybe we will have another three-map game on Friday like it was the case in the lone H2H encounter but this time around, I am not going with Over 2.5 maps. I prefer betting on FURIA to win instead. The Brazilians are in a better form, while their lineup has more experience of playing together.
