NFL Offseason Catch Up: Cuts and Contract Extensions

NFL Offseason Catch Up: Cuts and Contract Extensions

The NFL has been busy throughout the month of March and continues to make headlines despite the circumstances surrounding much of the sports world. We saw a lot of big names get cut earlier in the offseason. This list included many big names from running back Dion Lewis and tight end Delanie Walker from Tennessee to tight end Jimmy Graham from Green Bay as well as both running back Todd Gurley II and linebacker Clay Matthews from the Rams. The Gurley move was a bit of a surprise considering he is just 25 and rushed for 1,251 yards (17 TDs) in 14 games two seasons ago. Atlanta, who cut Devonta Freeman, picked Gurley up. Despite trading for Baltimore tight end Hayden Hurst and signing Gurley, Atlanta is just 60-1 to win the Super Bowl (from Vegas Insider).
