Odds for Top College Basketball Players to go in the NBA Draft

The NBA Draft goes on Wednesday, June 26 and Thursday, June 27th (2nd) round from New York City. The draft has been filled with International players, especially at the top. Last year, Victor Wembanyama was the top pick to San Antonio, while Bilal Coulibaly went to Washington. Both players were from France.

Once again, it appears that the top two players selected in Wednesday’s draft by Atlanta and Washington will be from France. Zaccharie Risacher (-110 to go first) and Alexandre Sarr (+260) are expected to go 1-2. However, there have been reports that UConn center Donovan Clingan (+190) has a chance to go first to the Hawks.

If Clingan goes in the lottery, that means UConn will likely have two players in the first 10 picks with guard Stephon Castle also expected to go in the high lottery.

Kentucky is another team with two players expected to go in the lottery in guards Rob Dillingham (+10000) and Reed Sheppard (+5000). Dillingham is one of those undersized guards (6-1, 165) with great explosiveness who could go in the top five or slide out of the lottery.

Duke may have the top pick in the 2025 draft in Cooper Flagg, but this season, they have two players who will likely go in the first round in 6-11 Kyle Filipowski and 6-3 guard Jared McCain.

While Colorado is certainly not a power and a blue-chipper like Kentucky, Duke, or UConn, they do have one player who could go in the Lottery and another in the first round. Cody Williams (6-7, 170) is one of the most polarizing players in the draft because he has talent, but is about 25 pounds away from being a player. Tristan da Silva (6-9, 215) is the better player, but doesn’t have the same upside.

While most people are hung up on USC’s Bronny James and he’s somehow a +25000 to go as the first pick, he’s likely a second-rounder. However, USC has a very talented player in Isaiah Collier (6-4, 205), who could go in the middle of the first round.

UConn will re-load next season; their biggest acquisition was getting Dan Hurley back as head coach. But they lost a ton in Clingan, Castle, and Cam Spencer and Tristen Newton, two guards, who may go in the second round.

Kentucky also lost wing Justin Edwards, who may get drafted, while Marquette has to replace point guard Tyler Kolek, a potential late first-round pick and 6-11 center Oso Ighodaro.
