Renegades vs. Rooster Preview & Prediction - Free CS:GO Betting Picks 8/7

Renegades and Rooster are facing in the Upper bracket semi-final of the DreamHack Open Summer 2020 Oceania, and Renegades are massive favorites to win in this best of three map duel. These sides have never met before.

Renegades didn’t play a single game since mid-July when they appeared at the ESL Australia &NZ Championship Season 11, and even though they are not in the competitive form right now, they are huge favorites here. Renegades won ten of the previous 12 matches and have an 84.6% win rate over the past three months. In that span, Renegades were unbeaten on Mirage and were excellent on Inferno (77.8%), while their “weakest” results came on Dust2 (57.1%).

Rooster, on the other hand, did play recently at the LPL Pro League Season 5, where they defeated Paradox twice and claimed the first place. Rooster is on an eight0game winning streak, won 11 of the last 12 games, and has a 79.2% win rate in the last three months. During that period, Rooster didn’t suffer a defeat on Nuke, Train, and Overpass, while they displayed strong performances on Inferno (77.8%). Mirage (53.8%) proved to be Rooster’s least favorite map.

Although Renegades are absolute favorites here, I don’t think they will get past Rooster easily. After all, Rooster is in a red-hot form while Renegades didn’t play in the last 20 days, so I believe the underdogs have a chance in this one. I am not saying they will get a win, though, but I am backing Rooster to win at least one map. Both of their latest duels with Paradox produced a maximum of three maps.
