Sharks vs. BOOM, Preview & Prediction - Free 10/12 CS:GO

One of the best South American teams of late, BOOM, is looking to win another tournament after winning each of the last three they appeared in. This time around, they are fighting for the first place at the Tribo to Major 2020 and will need to beat Sharks in order to win $7,000 and 2500 RMR Points. The losing side will have to settle with $4,000 and 2344 RMR Points.

Sharks Team Stats and Latest Results

Sharks lost the Grand final of the ESL Pro League Season 12 South America as they suffered a 3-1 defeat to BOOM, despite having a 1-0 lead by default, and are hoping for revenge in this clash on Monday. After beating RED Canids and Imperial, Sharks again lost to BOOM, and it was a painful one as Sharks won just nine rounds in the process. They did bounce back with a 2-0 victory over Isurus in the semi-final. Sharks won 11 of the previous 13 matches.

During the past three months, Sharks was invincible on Nuke (played seven times) and Train (played five times), while they were strong on Dust2 (80.0% win rate) and Mirage (66.7%). On the other hand, they failed to get a win on Vertigo (played three times) and were below average on Inferno (37.5%). Sharks are playing with the current lineup since August 2020 and appeared on 34 maps with a record of 23 wins and 11 losses. The team members are exit (1.24 rating), leo_druNky (1.10), jnt (1.06), Luken(1.15), and supLex (0.96).

BOOM Team Stats and Latest Results

As I already mentioned above, BOOM is one of the hottest teams not only in South America but in the entire CS:GO tour at the moment. They won each of the previous three tournaments they took part in: Gamers Club Masters V, Esportsmaker Invitational 2020, and ESL Pro League Season 12 South America, and now are in a pole position to win the fourth in a row. BOOM beat Isurus, Imperial, Keyd, RED Canids (twice), and Sharks to reach the Grand final, without dropping a single map along the way. BOOM won 15 of the last 16 games.

When it comes to the maps in the previous three months, BOOM didn’t suffer a defeat on Inferno (five times played), Nuke (played two times), and Train (played four times), while they displayed strong performances on Vertigo (88.9%) and Mirage (87.5%). Their “weakest” displays came on Overpass (66.7%). Since July 2020, BOOM is playing with the current lineup and appeared on 38 maps with a fantastic record of 33 wins and five losses. The lineup consists of boltz (1.28), felps (1.33), yel (1.23), chelo (1.19), and shz (1.20).

Sharks vs. BOOM H2H Record

These rivals have met on four occasions so far, and the current series is tied at 2-2. BOOM won the most recent clash when they dismantled Sharks 16-5 and 16-4 earlier at this tournament.

Sharks vs. BOOM Betting Preview

Although the Sharks inflicted BOOM’s only defeat in the last three months, I don’t think they stand a chance on Monday, particularly after what we saw in the previous H2H encounter only a week ago. Nothing can stop BOOM at the moment, and I am backing them to win this tournament in style, without a single map dropped. That’s why I am going with them to win 2-0, even though I don’t like to play that in the finals of the tournament. They are the dominant force.

The Pick: BOOM -1.5 (-149 @GG.BET)
