We have a Round 3 Mid Match from the WINNERS League - Season 4: Europe Invite Division between SKADE and LDLC. This contest is scheduled as a best-of-one-map match. The top eight teams at the end of the regular season for this event will advance to the playoffs while the bottom eight will be eliminated. The playoffs will be a single-elimination bracket featuring best-of-three-map matches.

SKADE Preview

HLTV World Ranking: 50th

SKADE has been one of the better teams for a while now due to their consistency. They won't win every single match, but SKADE is never an easy outing. Overpass has been the team's best map in the more recent months with a 63.6% win rate over the last three months. Something to keep an eye on is the fact that Inferno and Mirage are the only other two maps in which they have a win rate of over 50% on during this same period.

Rainwaker and dennyslaw have been the carriers of the team lately. Over the past three months Rainwaker has averaged 0.77 kills and only 0.66 deaths per round while dennyslaw averaged 0.72 kills with 0.66 deaths per round over this period. A problem for SKADE has been registering headshots, which can make the world of difference in a match. However, Rainwaker and dennyslaw have shown ability to clutch in situations to bail the team out.

LDLC Preview

HLTV World Ranking: 78th

The French squad of LDLC can be a very difficult team to get a read on. They've been competitive for most contests lately despite not being able to register a ton of wins in the process. Dust2 has been their specialty, however, with a 66.7% win rate on this map. LDLC will most likely need either Dust2 or Nuke (the only two maps with a win rate over 50%) to win a map, and they haven't won a round either Vertigo or Mirage in the last three months which could come back to haunt them.

LDLC's roster is all over the place with bodyy and afroo playing their first action in over three months. SIXER and hAdji have been the heart and sould behind the team's efforts however. SIXER has averaged 0.73 kills per round with only 0.59 deaths a round while hAdji notched 0.79 kills with only 0.66 deaths per round over this same period. Despite the strengths of their two stars, it's hard to trust a team with two players out of action for over three months.

Pick: Under 26.5 Rounds (-125 @ Bovada)(Max Play)

If a spread is released for this contest, I fully intend to back that with a max play instead of the under. Either way, SKADE will dominate this contest and that will keep this contest under the total. LDLC has two players that haven't played in over three months, and that almost never bodes well. Rainwaker, dennyslaw and the rest of SKADE shouldn't have any issues with an LDLC squad that seems to be falling apart right in front of our eyes.
