UFC 252 Prelims kicked off a historic Saturday night from Apex Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The following results capped early action as the world readied for a final Cormier vs. Miocic installment.

Vinc Pichel vs. Jim Miller

After recently stunning prospect Roosevelt Roberts, Miller also vied Saturday to earn a fourth win in five outings. That noted, the most experienced Zuffa combatant added crisp first-round strikes and seasoned wrestling to nullify tentative Pichel. However, good times ended for Miller as ‘From Hell’ stormed round two with overbearing urgency. During pivotal middle frame action, the slight favorite outstruck his bigger-named opponent 39-8 while stealing vital grappling currency. As both men gave credible final-round effort, Pichel edged the scrambles and landed mainly unanswered strikes to win by comfortable decision.

Fitful in his Octagon appearances, 37-year-old Vinc Pichel stands 6-1 vs. UFC fare since 2014. Conversely, Miller dropped his second loss in three fights. Overall, Pichel outlanded ‘A-10’ 84-26 and made winning wrestling adjustments.
