UFC on ESPN+ 56: Tate vs Vieira - Card Preview - 11/20/21

UFC stays close to home this weekend for another ESPN+ fight night card at the Apex Centre. Headlining this one is former champion, Miesha Tate, as she welcomes top prospect, Ketlen Vieira. This bout was supposed to go down a few weeks ago but had to be rescheduled when Tate got Covid. This will be her second fight since coming out of retirement at the beginning of the year. She is coming off of a 3rd round TKO win over Marion Reneau, which many believe was a soft ball match up to propel Tate into the rankings.

Vieira is definitely a jump up in competition as she’s 5-2 under the UFC banner and sit’s 7th in the rankings to Tate’s 8th (if you care about those sort of things). Gamblers have corrected the wide opening odds on this fight and currently the match sits close to even.

If last week’s card is any indication, we don’t necessarily need a lot of starpower to produce some thrilling fights so let’s hope this one does the same. There are a few very well booked matches on this one that I recommend not missing. Michael Chiesa vs Sean Brady, Rani Yahya vs Kyung Ho Kang, and Davey Grant vs Adrian Yanez (all fights currently on the main card) should be awesome. I would be very surprised if they don’t deliver. Take a look at the lineup below:

MAIN CARD

Ketlen Vieira vs. Miesha Tate

Michael Chiesa vs. Sean Brady

Rani Yahya vs. Kyung Ho Kang

Joanne Wood vs. Taila Santos

Davey Grant vs. Adrian Yanez

Ever since renting my first UFC VHS at my local video store, I’ve been in love with the sport of MMA. I’ve watched every single fight that has ever taken place under the UFC banner over the past 25 years. Once I started doing incredibly well in fantasy leagues, I realized I could utilize my skills in fight analytics to make a profit on betting. My obsession with researching every aspect of a fight gave me a real edge in finding value. Since then, it's been one profitable year after the next. Watching your favorite sport is good, but getting paid while watching your favorite sport is better.
