The PLAY: St. Louis Cardinals 120 Action
So far, the Bosox might be wondering what they’re getting with former Phils fireballer Ranger Suarez, signed to a top-dollar, five-year deal in January but off to a slow start (that’s an understatement), rocked by both the Astros and Padres in his first two outings with his new team while posting an 8.64 ERA and 1.92 WHIP.
It’s all part of a very slow Boston break from the gate that now sees the Bosox at 4-9 and just 1-6 on the road after last night’s 3-2 loss at Busch Stadium.
Meanwhile, the Cardinals have kicked-on early in an encouraging 8-5 start from the chute, and now on a three-game win streak. Oliver Marmol is confident he can get five innings for a third straight outing from starter Kyle Leahy, who kept damage minimal in his last start on Sunday vs. Detroit in a 5-3 St Louis win. We use St Louis at +120 and invoke our ".10 rule" and would keep this a play down to +110. Play Cards on Money Line
