So far so good for the Phils under Don Mattingly, now 4-0 in his interim position after yet another 1-run win last night at Miami. As we’ve seen these new manager/coach “bounces” last a lot longer than a few days, we’re inclined to ride this one a bit longer, even as the Phils cross their fingers today with starter Andrew Painter (5.25 ERA, 1.50 WHIP).
Meanwhile the Marlins have scored barely 3 runs pg while losing four of their last six, and as starter Max Meyer has a five-inning ceiling, that means more work for a soon-to-be overtaxed Miami bullpen on Saturday. Play Phillies on Money Line
