The PLAY: Cleveland Guardians -1.5 (158) Action
It’s about time Slade Cecconi demonstrates to Stephen Vogt that he should remain in the Cleveland rotation. Into May, the Guardians had lost all six of Cecconi’s starts, and prior to last Thursday’s outing vs. the Royals his ERA was a sky-high 6.56, but he was marginally effective vs. KC and picked up the win, allowing 2 ER in 5 1/3 IP.
Though we’re inclined to cut Cecconi or any Cleveland rotation piece a little slack against the Halos, whose 7- 2 loss last night at Progressive was their 24th setback in the last 28 (!) vs. the Guardians. Play Guardians on Run Line
