The PLAY: Oakland Athletics 111 Action
We keep waiting for the Cubs to shake out of their recent funk but it hasn’t happened yet. Losses the last two nights vs. the A’s have extended the downturn to 5-18 across the last 23 games, not to mention eight straight losses at Wrigley Field. Thursday starter Shota Imanaga looks a dubious candidate to halt the skid after posting a 10.80 ERA across his last three efforts.
Meanwhile, the A’s continue to punch above their weight on the road (19-14 away), and Thursday starter JT Ginn (2.87 ERA) has been Mark Kotsay’s most reliable rotation piece. Play A’s on Money Line
