We really like the home team in this matchup. The line appears to be highly influenced by Brewers RHP Kyle Harrison's last outing, where he surrendered eight runs in just 2.1 innings against Oakland, a game Milwaukee still managed to win 15-14. However, we think this is a massive market overreaction.
Harrison (7-1, 2.72) had pitched lights-out leading up to that anomaly, and was the only starting pitcher in the Major Leagues with at least 11 starts who had not allowed more than two runs in a single appearance all year. While Philadelphia RHP Cristopher Sánchez (8-2, 1.54) is undeniably an elite arm, Milwaukee is a commanding 14-5 against left-handed starters this season, and Phillies have dropped Sánchez's last few road starts against high-powered offense.
