| WCUP | (225541) Austria at (225542) Spain: Total | 3:00pm EDT - Jul 2/2026 |
The PLAY: Total Under 2.5 (115)
Though Luis De la Fuente doesn’t seem to be alarmed, we have yet to see the same Spain we saw at the Euros two years ago. Injuries have had much to do with that...winger Nico Williams (who is out again on Monday) has battled thru various hurts all season at Athletic Bilbao, and lost form, while Lamine Yamal is oinly recently back from a hamstring strain. Moroever, Rodri is far removed from his Ballon d’Or form of two years ago after serious knee injuries with Man City.
Spain, however, can still keep possession for long stretches, which is one reason none of the group foes scored a goal–they simply didn’t see the ball enough. Ralf Rangnick’s Austria might not have the chance to play their preferred uptempo if they don’t have the ball, either, and Spain has been involved in a couple of cagey affairs already at Copa Mundial. Play Austria-Spain “Under” (at Inglewood/Los Angeles)
