The PLAY: Paraguay +1.5 (130)
It might as well be 2010 , the last time we saw Paraguay at a World Cup, but the cynical style is very reminiscent of that negative side that gave eventual winner Spain a major scare in the quarterfinals before falling honorably 1-0.
The same cynicism and time-wasting that turns its games into sometimes unwatchable, stop-start affairs might strangely be a bit of a problem for the all-powerful Les Bleus, yet to face a side in this World Cup that will simply fall back into a low-block and dare the French to come at them, glad to absorb pressure as boxers like George Chuvalo and Scott LeDoux once did in the ring. Suicidal resolve vs. Kylian Mbappe and friends? Perhaps. Yet also maybe unnerving enough to keep La Albirroja within earshot. Play Paraguay on Spread (at Philadelphia)
