The Flames have treated me well to start the season. I've backed them three times and they won all three games. (They're 1-6 in games when I don't play them.) Calgary always seems to have trouble with Toronto though. Though the Flames have won three straight, the Maple Leafs have won four in a row. Toronto is averaging 3.85 goals per game while Calgary is averaging just 2.3. The Leafs have also beaten the Flames eight straight times. This should make nine in a row.

While the Avs can look great when everything clicks, as it was on Firday in the 6-3 win over Tampa Bay, Nathan MacKinnon & Co haven't been especially consistent this month. Instead, it's been back-and-forth since the opening two nights. To wit: Colorado has gone nine straight games without winning back-to-back, and has lost three of its first five on the road.
Granted, we're asking the Preds to do something they haven't done much lately--win--but only in last week's 6-0 loss at Boston have they been out of a game, and they beat the Blues 5-2 in their last Bridgestone appearance.
